Mauritius is set to expand its Metro Express network with a new direct link connecting Curepipe and Réduit, scheduled to begin operations on September 1. The addition marks a significant step in the ongoing development of the country's light rail system, which has been gradually extended since its initial launch in 2019. The Curepipe–Réduit corridor is one of the most heavily trafficked routes in the central plateau, serving thousands of commuters, students, and public servants daily.
