The Real Madrid forward achieved the feat across 102 matches, tallying 74 goals and 26 assists. The milestone equals the record previously set by Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who also reached 100 contributions in 102 games during his time at Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Only Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has done it faster, reaching the same landmark in 101 appearances during his long career at Barcelona.

Mbappé, 26, joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 and has continued to build on his Champions League legacy at the Spanish capital club. For context, reaching 74 goals in just 102 Champions League games places Mbappé among a very small group of elite strikers. Cristiano Ronaldo holds the all-time record for Champions League goals with 140, but took considerably more games to build that total in the earlier stages of his career.

Football fans in Mauritius, where the Champions League is widely followed and broadcast on local pay television platforms, have closely tracked Mbappé's rise since his breakout at Monaco in 2016 and his subsequent years at Paris Saint-Germain before his high-profile move to Real Madrid.

The record came as Mbappé scored his landmark 100th goal in the competition, adding yet another chapter to a career that has already included a FIFA World Cup winner's medal with France in 2018.
