India's Youth Rise Up Against Modi

Across India, a new generation is making its voice heard — and it is increasingly critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). From university campuses to city streets, young Indians are organising, protesting, and demanding accountability from a government they feel has failed to address their most pressing concerns: unemployment, shrinking civil liberties, and rising inequality. What makes this moment particularly notable is the generational dimension. Unlike older opposition figures who have challenged Modi through conventional political channels, this younger cohort is rejecting the established playbook entirely.
